No matter what you call them, they are (40) 2.5" strip bundles that are fun to create with! For the longest time I simply did not understand why people used precut fabrics. But I've been converted.

It started with my first Jelly Roll Race quilt, it was fast and so pretty, even in its simplicity. Since then, I've made several Jelly Roll Race quilts, they are a great fast finish when I might be tight on time, or I just need a finish.

Then last September one of my favorite quilt pattern writers dropped the Jelly Roll Square Quilt Pattern and I promptly made one, and then two and then another. I love the look of these quilts! It's a free pattern by Quilty Love (Emily Dennis).

This one is made with Penelope, a pretty blue fabric line. I don't have any left in the shop so I'll link another shop for you :)

This quilt is made with PINEAPPLE CRUSH by Dear Stella. It is the most fabulous summer print. There are several of these jelly rolls in the shop!

You might notice the purple quilt in the center. It was when I looked at the photos after this time at the Ranch, that I noticed..... I pieced it wrong! Oh well, the fabrics in this quilt, Lilac Lane, are stunning and the quilt is still pretty :)

So if you, too, wonder about why to use, or how to use precut fabrics, here are 2 examples of quilts you can make with a Jelly Roll. All you need to complete the quilts, are 1 jelly roll, backing fabric, batting and about 1/3 yd coordinating fabric for the binding.

Happy Quilting!
