Bundle of Joy Layer Cake, Diamonds & Pins Quilt

Hello again! Isn't this a darling fabric line? This is Bundle of Joy by Riley Blake and when this fabric arrived for the shop, I had to sew some up real quick! And what better pattern to use than Diamonds and Pins Quilt Pattern by Andrea Sims of @homewithAndreaSims .

I love this pattern for being quick and for showing off fabric! I did make it not as quick this time as I made a change. Instead of using (2) 10" blocks from the layer cake to make my Half Square Triangles (HST) I used the 2 blocks to make 4 at a time HST. I really wanted to use more of the layer cake because the fabric is so great!

The quilt is all rumpled in this shot, as my pup had run across it and I didn't realize til later.

As the pattern is named, Diamonds and Pins, the quilt top is made up of pinwheels and diamonds. Simple and sweet. It is a favorite of mine when I need/want to get a quilt top done quick.

In the shop we have one more Bundle of Joy layer cake. And we also have some 1 yard bundles of Special Delivery, which comes in blue and yellow rather than pink. These bundles come with a fantastic panel!
